Google Analytics

Google Analytics is the enterprise-class web analytics solution that gives you rich insight into your website traffic and marketing effectiveness. Powerful, flexible and easy-to-use features now let you see and analyze your traffic data in an entirely new way. With Google Analytics, you're more prepared to write better-targeted ads, strengthen your marketing initiatives and create higher converting websites.

To track your website traffic using Google Analytics:

  1. Create a Google Account to get access to Analytics: http://www.google.com/analytics/.
  2. Fill in the appropriate information to generate a UA code. It looks like this: UA-#######-##
  3. Copy the UA code.
  4. In Media Factory, from the drop-down list in the left-hand corner under the Media Factory logo, select a project.
  5. In the Navigation bar, select Applications>Applications.
  6. On the Applications page, select an application.
  7. Under Sections, select Wrapper Templates.

  1. On the Wrapper Templates page, select Default Template.

  1. In the Default Template code, scroll to the bottom.
  2. Un-comment the following and add the UA code in the place of “UA-#######-##” :

var ClientTracker = _gat._getTracker(“UA-#######-##”);

ClientTracker._setDomainName(“none”);
ClientTracker._setAllowLinker(true);
ClientTracker._trackPageview();

Note: Google Analytics should start collecting data within a few hours of you setting this up.
